Exciting Announcement: LEAD Learning Club Partners with Elevate Psychotherapy & Wellness Clinic to Serve our Students and Community!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration between LEAD Learning Club and Elevate Psychotherapy & Wellness Clinic. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to our students and their families.

Priority Access to Services

Starting May 2024, Elevate Clinic, renowned for its team of Neuropsychologists and other professionals, will join the LEAD Learning Club offices in Laval. This means that our students and families will have priority access to a range of specialized services designed to address cognitive, emotional, and developmental needs. Neuropsychological Assessments: Understanding Cognitive Functioning

One of the key services offered by Elevate Clinic is Neuropsychological Assessments. These assessments, conducted by experienced neuropsychologists, provide valuable insights into how brain function influences thoughts and behaviors. They evaluate cognitive and behavioral abilities, such as intelligence, attention, learning and memory, and language skills.

For Children and Adolescents

Neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents focus on various aspects of learning and cognitive functioning. They can diagnose neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disorders. These assessments also identify social, emotional, or behavioral challenges that may impact learning and development.

For Adults

In adults, neuropsychological assessments assess intellectual abilities, attention, memory, and professional functioning. They help understand how specific challenges affect daily activities and performance in various settings.

Other Services Offered

In addition to neuropsychological assessments, Elevate Clinic will offer a range of other services at LEAD Learning Club, including:

  • Academic Derogation & Early School Entry Assessments Academic derogation or early school entry assessments are crucial measures aimed at children who exhibit advanced cognitive abilities and development, justifying their enrollment in kindergarten or first grade before the typical age. These assessments, conducted by psychologists or neuropsychologists, evaluate intelligence, socio-emotional, and psychomotor abilities. They help determine if a child's skills surpass those of their peers and if early enrollment is beneficial for their overall progress and development. Alternatively, delayed school entry assessments are available for children who may benefit from postponing kindergarten entry for a year due to below-average maturity or functioning levels.

  • Autism Assessments Autism assessments are comprehensive evaluations designed to diagnose autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in individuals across different age groups. Conducted by experienced clinicians, these assessments combine structured measures and qualitative observations to identify differences in thinking and behavioral patterns, communication styles, and social and emotional skills consistent with ASD. Through these assessments, clinicians gain a clearer understanding of an individual's strengths and challenges, facilitating appropriate intervention and support tailored to their needs.

  • Developmental Assessments for children ages 3.5 and younger Developmental assessments are essential evaluations aimed at understanding and evaluating various areas of a child's development, including cognitive, language, motor, and socio-emotional skills. Specifically designed for children aged 3.5 years and below, these assessments involve structured observation, interaction, and standardized tests administered by a neuropsychologist. The goal is to identify any developmental concerns, delays, or disorders early on so that appropriate interventions and support can be provided to help the child reach their full potential. Common signs or difficulties that may lead to a referral for a developmental assessment include speech and language delays, motor skill difficulties, behavioral concerns, social challenges, and emotional regulation issues.
